forgive me my really late reply as i do not really check often in deviant-art 

the two characters are the leaders of two of the main factions in a mod in working on for the game Stellaris.


on the left is Yiniri the prophet of the one true god, an alien creature from another dimension who saved her people from their ruined world and show them how to travel thru space so they could spread his influence.

on the right is Alyza Rayleonard, current Empress of the U.I.S.O.K (Unified Imperial States Of Krasia) an intergalactic empire founded by the survivors of earth's destruction millennia ago, after thousands of year of being treated like trash by the rest of the sentient species of  the galaxy, the U.I.S.O.K stands as a mighty symbol of human unbreakable will.

neither of the two characters have a big backstory, as the idea is that any player that gets its hands on the mod doesnt really feel obligated to follow a predetermined story, the player gets to choose what any of the factions really want for the galaxy or how they achieve it.
